Penemuan kerangka manusia terkubur di pinggir pantai membuat geger warga Desa Legundi, Kecamatan Ketapang, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Kerangka tersebut ditemukan seorang warga yang sedang mencari kayu.
Dilansir detikSumbagsel Minggu (19/7/2026), bagian tubuh kerangka manusia itu terlihat akibat pasir tersapu ombak. Penemuan kerangka manusia itu terjadi pada Sabtu (18/7/2026) siang pukul 11.20 WIB.
Kerangka manusia itu ditemukan seorang warga yang mencari kayu di kawasan pesisir. Awalnya warga tersebut melihat bagian tubuh yang mencuat dari timbunan pasir.
Setelah didekati, warga menduga temuan tersebut merupakan jasad manusia dan langsung melaporkannya kepada aparatur desa. Laporan itu diteruskan oleh Kepala Desa Legundi kepada Camat Ketapang.
Dua personel Damkarmat tiba di lokasi pukul 11.45 WIB setelah menerima laporan. Petugas kemudian berkoordinasi dengan aparat kepolisian dan unsur terkait untuk melakukan evakuasi terhadap kerangka manusia tersebut.
“Kami menerima laporan dari pihak kecamatan terkait penemuan kerangka manusia di pesisir Desa Legundi. Personel Posko Damkarmat Ketapang langsung menuju lokasi untuk membantu proses evakuasi bersama aparat kepolisian dan pemerintah setempat,” kata Kepala Bidang Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan Kabupaten Lampung Selatan Rully Fikriansyah.
