Kebakaran hutan melanda Prancis akibat gelombang panas yang terjadi. Setidaknya, hampir 3.000 orang telah dievakuasi di Prancis barat daya.
Dilansir kantor berita AFP, Jumat (3/7/2026), para wisatawan dan penduduk setempat terpaksa diungsikan setelah kebakaran hutan berkobar di kota Sainte-Marie-la-Mer dan meluas hingga ke Canet-en-Roussillon.
Kebakaran yang bermula di sebuah area perkemahan tersebut menghancurkan puluhan rumah mobil atau karavan, sebelum akhirnya merembet ke kawasan dermaga. Asap tebal yang beracun menyelimuti kapal-kapal yang bersandar.
Petugas pemadam kebakaran menyatakan bahwa hampir 3 ribu orang telah dievakuasi, dengan separuh di antaranya berasal dari tiga lokasi perkemahan di wilayah yang terdampak.
Pejabat daerah tertinggi wilayah Pyrenees-Orientales, Pierre Regnault de La Mothe mengatakan dua petugas pemadam kebakaran mengalami luka ringan. Sebanyak 200 petugas pemadam kebakaran dan empat helikopter pengebom air (water-bombing) dikerahkan untuk memadamkan kobaran api.
“Kami memobilisasi jaringan sukarelawan dalam jumlah besar,” ujar kepala daerah setempat.
Pada bulan Juni, Prancis dilanda gelombang panas yang memecahkan rekor selama 11 hari berturut-turut, dengan suhu melonjak hingga di atas 40°C di berbagai tempat.
Selain membawa dampak besar bagi kesehatan manusia, ekosistem, pertanian, dan infrastruktur, gelombang panas yang luar biasa ini juga memperburuk risiko terjadinya kebakaran hutan, menurut keterangan dari Organisasi Meteorologi Dunia (WMO).
